Mike Levy teaches junior high English, plays bass guitar, raises children, cooks, washes the dishes, takes out the garbage, and seldom remembers dreams or nightmares. He is also a freelance writer, and has been since 2001, when he began writing a column on Finger Lakes and Catskills beers for the Great Lakes Brewing News. Mike has gone on to write a food column in the Ithaca Journal and a monthly piece about local produce for the GreenStar Co-op's Green Leaf, and varous pieces for publications local, regional and national. These days, he writes a weekly column on town issues in the new paper, Tompkins Weekly.
